Songs That Prove Post Malone's Comments About Hip-Hop Are Wrong

“If you’re looking for lyrics, if you’re looking to cry, if you’re looking to think about life, don’t listen to hip-hop,” Malone said during an interview with Poland’s NewOnce. “There’s great hip-hop songs where they talk about life and they really spit that real s–t, but right now, there’s not a lot people talking about real s–t.”

After the interview hit the internet, many found themselves wondering a few things. Namely, what substance has Malone added to hip-hop? What steps has he taken to “spit that real s–t”? Wrong or right… With tracks like “White Inverson” and “Rockstar,” who was he to deliver this message?

Because no one had good answers to these questions, Malone’s harsh views on hip-hop really struck a nerve with fans. For his comments, Malone — a modern hip-hop artist himself — earned a lot slack. “It’s crazy that after all this time im still being questioned. suck my f–king d-ck i don’t have to explain s–t. i do this s–t because i love to do this s–t,” he tweeted in his defense afterwards.

Well, Malone. This one is for you. Here are 10 modern “real s–t” talking, think-about-life hip-hop songs.
